August 10, 2010 The Safe Drinking Water Act:

This training attempts to simplify the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), highlight the main points and

requirements, and introduces management practices designed to meet the SDWA requirements. Areas of focus include: the responsibility of public water systems under the SDWA; the contaminant groupings your utility must test for and what an MCL is; record keeping and Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR) requirements; public notification requirements and the difference between Tier 1, 2 and 3 Violations. This workshop also covers the impact of a water system’s financial, managerial and technical capacity on current and future compliance.
